asin thottumkal said that , she will now be learning martial arts.......

After an impressive debut in Ghajini, Asin is now set to try her hands at martial arts. She will learn the ancient martial art of Kalaripayattu (stick fighting) for a new film. Asin is going to learn the art for a Indo-Japanese joint venture 19th Step.


The pretty actress will play a traditional Indian girl well-versed in martial arts. The film to be made in Japanese and Tamil, will later be dubbed in Hindi.

The actress, who has shifted base to Mumbai, will return to her home state Kerala in April to learn the art from traditional Kalaripayattu gurus
